With gas prices at an all-time high, we are all trying to get the most bang for our buck. That is why now, more than ever, there are so many compact cars and fuel efficient vehicles on the road. Now one of the ways you can increase your fuel efficiency is by adding car spoilers.

There are two types of spoilers: front and rear. The front one is under the bumper and moves the air away from the tires. The rear spoiler is most noticeable because it fixed on the top of the trunk doors on most cars. It separates air flow and reduces turbulence, adding to fuel efficiency and better drive and handling.

Even if you are not interested in conserving gas, adding a rear spoiler can give your car a sportier look. Mid-sized sedans are great candidates for this, but you have to make sure that the spoiler matches your car. For example, if you have an Accord, you would need Honda Accord spoilers so it looks naturally sporty. It is easier if your car has its original paint color because it makes it all the more easier to find OEM spoilers for a perfect match.

I had a Honda Civic base model that I purchased a couple years back. It got great mileage on gas, but it was very lackluster in terms of exterior appearance. I have to say that since I purchased the Honda Civic spoiler, it has added a zing to the overall look. It’s not just hunk of fiber carbon anymore; it just looks more edgy and personalized. I’d recommend it to anyone who is looking to give their plain or basic car a much needed makeover!
